No this is probably betaseron, a form of interferon.  And it is *not* contraindicated during
breastfeeding.

I am wondering about the neurologist's grasp of breastfeeding if he is asking the mother to
start pumping at 16 weeks gestation.  His heart may be in the right place, but he should not be
telling mothers that interferon requires the mother not to breastfeed.
