Hi All,
I talked to a producer for the 20/20 show last week and gave her my .02+
worth. :) She seemed very interested in what I had to say, asked
appropriate questions and answered my questions about their take on the
whole issue. She didn't ask if I wanted to be interviesed on camera, but I
certainly wouldn't mind! I doubt that I would BF Ben (my 3 yr old) on
camera, simply bc I am trying to wean him and he would be too interested in
the cameras to nurse. :) I think I may have overloaded her with info tho.
I did a lot of talking about the phychological effects extended BF has on
children, and the physical/health benefits for the older child. I also
talked about our society's problems with extended BF and how different it
was from other parts of the world. Then I told her I was a CLE. She said
she thought I had to have had some education on the topic bc I was very
knowledgable. Maybe they don't want moms who are in the field? I will writ
to Barbara and tell her that I would be happy to be interviewed, but I
wonder if who they really want are moms who are not heavily involved with
"The Cause". We'll see...
