  I think that one of the difficulties here is there is little research
either way... ethically i doubt that there would be any way to research this
topic...

  How would you know if the mis is related to bf or to a preg that was
"blighted"

 from a common sense perspective...

   you said this woman has no history of uterine problems... has she been
told to refrain from sexual relations?

   do we know that there is enough oxytocin release to cause contractions?
the increase in receptors has not yet occured so why, even if there is
sufficient oxytocin, which is supposition only... the receptions are not
sufficient for contractions...

   while it is inappropriate to decide that lack of evidence should rule,  if
we approach the situation from probability... when you look at the numbers of
woman who nurse through pregnancy and compare this to the number who have
miscarriages while bf the stack is most definately learns toward the side
that there is no contraindication without other extenuating circumstances....


   difficult as this may be it is appropriate to tackfully ask the physian
for references.
