Nofia, I agree with another writer that this mom has more problems than
relac can fix! This mom needs to get care ASAP for both her and her FTT
baby. I have an anorexic mom who BF very well for 6-7 mo. Then mom began
to seriously get skinnier. I told her it was more important to have a live
mom than to continue BF. She is 21, low noral intell., weighs all of 76
lbs., can't read, lives with a "foster" mom. We've had to push, pull, coax,
threaten to keep her feeding the baby/toddler appropriately. She just
doesn't even think of feeding him, because she doesn't eat. Doesn't seem to
grasp the idea that a toddler can't go 6-8 hours in day time without food!
He's approaching 2 now and is more assertive himself about letting her know
he wants to eat, but it has taken a lot of close supervision to prevent FTT.

Welcome to the world of managed care medicine. It is far cheaper to give a
pill than to provide psychotherapy! Most people don't have a choice.
