From purely personal experience, your description of the baby sounded
just like my Emma, who definitely had this foremilk-hindmilk imbalance
thing possibly due to my *very* fast letdown. We have a little trouble
of this nature with Alice, but thankfully I now know a bit more about
it, so avoid the worst problems by nursing on one breast per feed and
only use the other side after 2 hours. Alice is gaining weight fast -
she is on the 91st centile and the system seems to really work. I say
she is a really easy baby, but friends say she is quite high-needs, but
then, I am comparing her to one who screamed for 18 weeks from birth :-(
