Hi All,
Ruthy, why would what you say and think about this topic make anyone mad?
Personally, I feel a bit enlightened. Your theory, and the possibilty that
it may be true, given the research that is going on, makes a lot of sense, to
me! This is really something to think about, and talk to pregnant moms
about. If they have no desire to BF, ask them if they were BF. Ask them why
they have no desire. Then encourage them to "just give it a try, you can
give your baby so much from just BF a couple of times. If you don't like it,
you can always stop." Possibly talk about how critical it is for calves and
kittens and puppies to get mothers colostrom in order to survive and then
equate that to the importance of human babies getting their mothers colostrom
for the same reasons. Grasping at straws, it feels like.
But, Ruthy, I like your ideas. Tell us more, and if no one else is
interested, I am! So feel free to e-mail me privately if you'd like!

Take care all,
Jay
