I just wanted to let you all know about the mom I was working with a few
weeks ago.  She was diabetic and had deep cracked painful nipples.  When I
finally did get to see her; latch was great although she had flat nipples and
I'm sure thats where her problems started.  I gave her a few suggestions that
some of you suggested such as continuing antibiotics longer then usual, lots
of support to lessen any pull on the nipple, she continued with the
bacitracin and cracks are almost gone and her baby continues to grow huge.
 No thrush.  She also is watching her diet better.  I appreciated all your
suggestions.
