For all those who read my post concerning my son with the cardiac condition
TGV and the reference to VSD I realize some who do not directly work with
pediatric pathology might be unfamiliar with the terms or abreviations, I
apoligize:

TGA is transposition of the great arteries (sometimes referred to as TGV)
or a congenital switching of the leading pipelines to the main chambers of
the heart.
This is considered a serious life threatening heart anomaly often referred
to as congenital cyanotic heart condition. (causing circulatory blueness or
blue tinted skin).
My son T.C.(timothy clarke) named after his dad, had a major heart bypass
surgery at 7 months to reconstruct the chambers that receive the blood flow
(atrium) not the pumping chambers where he had a small VSD or Ventricular
Septal Defect or "hole" in the walls of the (pumping chambers) ventricles,
that closed spontaneously.

I also referred to mct oil or medium chain triglycerides used to add
calories to a nutritionally stressed infant child who needs calories but
can't tolerate the kidney or renal load of the excess electrolytes and
fluids and protein that accompany fortifiers or artificial baby milks and
even human milk can have too much fluid/electrolyte load per calorie
provided. So it can be very tough providing calories (which cyanotic heart
babies and premies burn like wildfire) just to provide energy for breathing
and pumping hearts much less provide growth that is needed to improve
surgical outcome....the bigger the work space, the better the job ! not to
mention the stronger the more mature infant is for recovery. I hope this
explains all the jargon I used last night, i got kinda carried away and
when you go through this you figure everyone knows what your talking
about...sorry.
