I realize this message will NOT be read by the people who are th
eoffenders, but I have had it!

I want you all to know that LACTNET now has more than 200 subscribers. Most
of you are very good about setting yourself to digest and/or nomail when
you leave for more than a day.  However, several of you have not.

To give you an idea of the problems this creates, please be aware that at
6PM, I logged on to find 68 error messages (count 'em!) not counting all
the LACTNET digest and legitimate private messages to my account.  It took
me 3 hours to got through each of those error messages and attempt to
delete them.  All had to do with FULL MAILBOXES; most from AOL users, and a
few from COMPUSERVE users.

When a mailbox is full at your end, all messages going to that account,
including LACTNET messages bounce back to the co-owners for action (often
multiple times!) and THIS COSTS US MONEY! (personally)

We do not want to have to charge for subscirbing to LACTNET, but if people
cannot be more responsible, we may have to think about doing so.

PLEASE PLEASE set yourself to nomail if you plan not to log-in every day.
That way, you will not end up with a full mailbox (partiuclarly those of
you on those tiny boxes that AOL offers) and we will not have to resort to
deleting you from LACTNET.

To those of you great people who get this message, please pass it on to
your friends whom you know WERE on lactnet but now are set to nomail. They
will not get this message, but I simply had to let you know what is
happening here.

KB and I have been very patinet about this, but we cannot do so much
longer. Please pass the word.  We are keeping track of the primary
offenders and when/if they ever empty their mailboxes, they will hear from
us about not repeating this problem. In themeantime, please help us to help
you by letting others know of this problem.
