This all makes sense to me, except the last part about 'decrease in plugged
ducts and decrease in engorgement'.

Isn't it better for engorgement relief to drain(into the baby that is,via
breastfeeding) something from each breast at each feeding?  Just a
question....thanks.

By the way, your hospital and Neonat. sound fabulous!
