Hi Jan,
What an interesting thought.  I have sometimes felt bewildered when I've seen a
baby who seems to have lost quite a bit a weight but still *looks* good.  One
doesn't get the sense with these babes that they are dehydrating or failing to
thrive.  Perhaps you have hit upon what is possibly going on in some of these
cases.
