Kathleen A.,
I think tongue-tie is another of those dyad-combination situations, where the
mom has real elastic breast tissue and a good supply, baby seems to nurse
without hurting mom. Sometimes they make awful clicking noises, but no pain.
It's the girlie-magazine-breasted women who suffer most with a baby with
ankyloglossia....
I suspect that 'overactive MER' can be compensatory for a poorly
sucking baby. Anyone else have comments on that thought?
