Hi!!

A colleague posted a message on the Spanish lactation list, asking if there
is any relationship between Mastitis and Hypothyroidism. He tells of a case
of a breastfeeding mother (PTP) with frequent bouts of mastitis, which
finally disappeared at 8 months post partum when she was diagnosed with
hypothyroidism and treated for it.

I´ve been browsing around but can´t find any reliable studies. Apparently
there is an associacion between mastitis and hypothyroidism, but not
specifically in breastfeeding women.

But I can´t find any good sources. Any input?
