 I think learning hand expression familiarizes young women with their breasts and that touching themselves is OK!  Then when they need to be doing feeling for the odd lump or bump and learn breast self exam they do a better job.  Unfortunately I keep hearing of younger and younger women with breast cancer, who would have caught it sooner if they had been doing monthly self exams.  Pat in SNJ
