The right person in the right place at the right time, with the right
perceptions! It was worth giving credit where credit was due.
I'm very, very weary. I had sharp upper arm pain at night for four years
(including the months in various hospitals with two leg fractures after the
accident in Nov 2008), then I had a spontaneous two-year remission, and it
came back this year. (It was an extreme flare-up of this when I wrenched my
arm that kept me from the ABA conference.)
A colleague realised it is polymyalgia, and the only med for it is one I can
never take. The upshot is that (some) nights my sleep is very disturbed,
particularly as a) it very hot now and b) I have neglected to take ice packs
to bed with me lately.
Since this is also a busy period for me, with double the usual consults,
I've been seeing mothers and babies in the mornings and having a nap in the
afternoons. If the arm would behave, life would be very good. Around this,
of course, I've been fitting in publications, with another one about to
appear, three in peer review with different journals, and another to submit
- when I find time. Plus responding to colleagues who want me to look at
their work....
An early night tonight and a sleep in as tomorrow's client is coming later,
and I should feel more rested.
V.

Hi Virginia,
I've heard him interviewed before and he also emphasised the importance of
breastfeeding in preventing child deaths. It's very heartening!
