Erika, as you realise, there are several reasons.  Others include: tight
labial frenums(typing upper lip to gum), Pierre Robin (severely undershot
jaw with tongue tie and possibly other midline anomalies), jaundice, poor
tone (which may or may not go with a number of conditions, including Downs
Syndrome), rigid schedules resulting in low supply.  Some cases of
torticollis.

What are some reasons you see for poor milk transfer?  Other than tongue
tie,  low milk supply, lethargic infant, what are some other reasons? Any
other reasons why a baby can not get on deep at the breast?
