Is donating milk for the local milk bank an option for her?

I had about the same size of milk supply with both of my kids, but my
younger one consumed significantly less that the first born. Blockfed
12 h from the right, 12 h from the left, pumped when too
uncomfortable, and tried to down regulate my supply (with all the
hints I had learned on lactnet ;) ) for about three weeks with little
to zero results until I gave up and started donating milk (didn't try
pseudoephedrine or birth control pills, though, as I doubt the doctor
would have laughed me out for asking a prescripiton for that). Then
around two months pp I suddenly felt the supply leveling, but I did
continue donating for another two months.
