I sent this to Lactnet nearly three weeks ago, on 19 June. There was no reaction at the time, which disappointed me as I was curious what others in the field would think.

Much of it reassures me somewhat although I think he's a bit defensive. We were told nothing about him, so how were we to know that he hadn't dealt with formula industry issues in his previous work? We were entitled to our concerns, IMO.  And I'd love to know the name of the "outspoken and knowledgeable breastfeeding expert" that guided his graduate work at Cornell.

I hope he does excellent work for IBLCE.  Only time will tell; I remain cautious until the SOP issue has been settled satisfactorily....
