Has anyone else tried the Pumpin Pals sit-back flanges that were displayed
at the ILCA conference this year? We have ordered them and use them and
I've had very good results with them so far. They seem to be a better fit
because they're graduated and mom doesn't have to lean over or sit up
straight to use them. They're easier for the RN than the Custom Flanges
because she doesn't have to replace the white valve. They fit inside any
standard flange. I haven't tried them with a Medela kit yet. I have no
connection with the company, just very impressed with the product. I have
seen an unusually high number of women over the past 2-3 years who are just
not comfortable with the standard size flange or are not able to express
milk well without the larger flange. I suspect it's because of our very
high rate of pitocin inductions lately. Some days EVERY mom has been
induced!!! You can imagine what our c-section rate is with all those babies
who are not ready to come out, not to mention their difficulty breastfeeding
with all the birth interventions. No wonder I'm so tired!!

learned at our Area LLL of IL Conference this weekend
