I haven't had this come up in awhile, but several years ago I had several mothers with nipple trauma and wool allergies ask about purified lanolin. I suggested doing a "patch test" rubbing some Lansinoh in the antecubital space at the "inside" of the elbow. None reacted. If I recall correctly, all decided to give Lansinoh a try and all were happy with it. No reactions on nipples either. So would think the trial run on the forearm or inside elbow angle might be a good first step...
