IMNSHO, any baby at risk of allergies should not be exposed to latex.
I am in such fear of it now that I avoid band-aids on my kids, even
though they aren't at risk.    I know you probably said that as
somewhat tongue in cheek, but since I'm allergic to latex myself, it's
hard for me to not consider the allergenic potential.

and yes, I know there are latex free packs, but according to my
research before buying allergy alert jewelry, most people reach for
latex first.
