Dear Sara,
Indeed, this is not what we want to happen!
Last week I found in our areal newspaper a relevant article that took my
breath away! Three members of our Belgian parliament (all of a liberal
party) did a proposal to allow again promotion of artificiel babymilk.
They say that the law which forbids promotion of artificial milk is an
obstacle for the spread of correct information and that mothers have the
right to know what's in the babymilk. They argument that mothers possibly
can not give breastfeeding or that they maybe choose to not breastfeed
their child and, top of the bil, that to excl. breastfeed a baby until six
months is almost unpossible to do! I think I will post a message on a
parents-breastfeedingforum and adress it to all the moms who did excl.
breastfeed for six months, to write a letter to those politician that they
succeeded in doing this unpossible thing!!!
