Dear Jackie, I would suggest a series of test weights on a Baby Weigh Scale to see what exact amounts baby is removing from the breast. I am working with a baby like this now and it has taken a two day test weight regiment where every feeding was weighed before and after to see what intervention seems most effective. It isn't always the mom who has low milk supply first, sometimes it is a baby who has an ineffective suck or other physical issues that make him poorly remove milk. A baby who extracts milk poorly will also create a poor milk supply unless mom is pumping on a good pump after feedings (I would suggest a rental pump at this point, making sure the flanges are large enough). Fenugreek might help but it won't necessarily fix the problem.
