I checked the archives and didn't find any mention of a torus cyst. I
just talked to a mom with a six month old who has a growing torus cyst
in her palate. Mom's sense is that it is uncomfortable with pressure.
This baby was over 8 pounds at birth, 12 pounds at 4 months and has
only gained two ounces in the last 2 months. Mom's sense is that she
nurses through the first let down and then quits.
She has grown taller, head circumference larger, just minimal weight
gain. Nice development, very active and mobile. She only nurses 3 or
4 times during the day for short periods, insists on both breasts. She
nurses more during the early morning when she is drowsy.
Mom is working on building supply although she doesn't have a sense
that her supply has dropped. This is her fifth child, others have been
petite as well but not with a weight gain stall like this.
I have seen this baby nursing but only socially and looked fine to me.
Mom will bring the baby in for me to weigh this week, in case the
weight was wrong.
Does anyone have any thoughts about torus cysts or growths.

Thanks,
