Hi all

In your practice setting, do you use a feeding tube and syringe to
supplement babies vs using the Starter SNS. I know it is easier to insert a
feeding tube into the corner of an infant's mouth, but doesn't taht present
a problem re: product liability? The feeding tube was designed to go into
the baby's stomach and the syringe was never meant for feeding. I know that
this is how babies are gavage fed, but if done properly, the tube is in the
stomach and there should be no aspiration from the feeding.

My other question is regarding cleaning supplies. Do you supply mothers
with individual bottles of dish detergent? Do you keep the same bottle in
the room until it is empty?

This may all seem like a no brainer to you but sometimes it just helps to
get input from others.

Thank your for you input.
