Dear Lactnetters,

If you are an ILCA Member you can have your name listed in two different
sections of the web site. www.ILCA.org In the "Members Only" section and in
the "Find a Lactation Consultant" section. In the private members only
section you can easily change your contact information yourself, so you can
be located and contacted more easily by other members. If you are an ILCA
Member and would now to be listed in the public referral side of the site
(Find a Lactaion Consultant) you have that option in your membership
join/renew form or you can contact: Jennifer Ernst [log in to unmask]

If you have not visited the ILCA site lately, members and non-mbers please
take a look! There are new items up almost weekly. In the past month we now
have a Syndey Discusstion Board where one can ask questions related to
traveling to the ILCA Conferance in Sydney July 31-Aug. 3. The newest
edition of the on-line Globe is available now for members to download, and
the Publications section is more user friendly.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any ideas on how to make the ILCA
site more valuable to members and non-members worldwide!

Thank you

Subject: Need LC in Melbourne AUstralia

Meg,
There are plenty of IBCLCs in Melbourne!
There are not many listed on the ILCA registry and it's not very
user-friendly as they are listed under suburbs rather than actual cities (or
towns). (And I see mine has my home address not any of my work addresses,
which I'll have to do something about.)
If your friend lives in Carlton, the easiest thing would be to ring the
breastfeeding clinic at the Royal Women's Hospital (in Carlton) and make a
time to come and see one of the LCs. Women come into the clinic for the day,
so several feeds can be observed, they can eat lunch, have a rest, etc. The
hospital provides the service (ie no charge).
