Again I am appealing to the collective wisdom of this knowledgeable
group.
Spoke to a mom today who has recently noticed that she is pumping about
half the amount she has been able to express.
Baby is 4 months old. Mom went back to work at 6 weeks post-partum.
Her pattern is to nurse morning and night. Pumps every 3 1/2 - 4 hours
at work. Baby sleeps through the night, but mom does pump once during
the night. Has recently started cereal morning and night, but is only
giving about 1 tbs. She usually nurses baby prior to giving cereal.
Denies unusual stress, meds, pregnancy, and has one period since
delivery. Has a good quality pump (new with this baby) and describes
adequate fluids.
My advise to her was: Nurse rather than pump on the weekend and try n/a
beer. Any other ideas other than herbs, reglan or domperidone?
TIA,
