a member of my LLL group has asked a question no one has been able to answer. she has a 7-month-old baby who is still nursing exclusively, and who she intends to nurse exclusively until at least 1 year of age, preferably longer, due to family history of food allergies. she is concerned about her possibilities of being pregnant, due to finding fertile-quality cervical fluid the day after having intercourse. even if she is not pregnant now, she and her partner do not use any method of birth control, so if she is nearing fertility she will probably soon be pregnant. can she continue to nurse exclusively through a pregnancy?
