One of the things that helps with getting the tongue down is the Charm
Hold for sucking. I am not a suck training expert. Maybe someone who is
will be able to add more. Also I would try nursing positions where the
baby is face down with mom lying on her back (prone positions). You can
try this lateral, floating, over the shoulder etc. Great descriptions

Lactation Consultant Charting by Marmet and Shell.
Has the baby been properly checked for tongue-tie?
