When I first got started in private practice, I did 2 things:
1) Got little baskets and put a ribbon and artificial flower on them and
then filled with chocolate kisses in them and a bunch of business card
in them, I also got some selfstick magnets and put that on the back of a
couple business cards and gave a couple to each office. The chocolate
got their attention right away! And I got the baskets real cheap after
Easter. I included a flier that listed prices and stuff and explained
all that.
2) I volunteered to come in and do an inservice free to the Dr. and
staff either on pumps, or latch-on or whatever they needed. I told them
I had resources on drugs and human milk too, and explained that I would
tell them what was but explained I would have to charge a mom for a
consult.
