Hardly "needless to say." We NEED to keep saying this

Agreed,

"The short synopsis is that they are finding that much concern was unwarranted, but that some species of bumblebees and in agricultural landscapes. We also need more research on insecticide synergies, as well as upon queens."

But we also need to be very careful how we state our cautions also. While I fully agree we should keep our eyes open statements worded like the one above are frankly, biting us in the butt.

I have seen way too many quotes of both scientist and beekeepers warning of " suggestive evidence that neonics may have delayed effects" or " solitary bees may be negatively affected"

The key words in that line to us is MAY, but to casual readers and politicians that word gets missed.

I would suggest things, more like "we will continue to research" or some sort of phrasing that is not quite so easy to convolute. I know I have spent a lot of time trying to speak and type a bit more cautiously.

Charles
