paul says that corn pollen for each field is only available for 7-10 days but the fields are planted over about a 3 week period, making corn pollen available for a 30 day period.  I wonder if neonicitids being similar to nicotine make the bees prefer poor pollens such as corn in the past some work showed that bees prefer sugar laced with cocaine.
