We do know.  I (and I suppose others) are already working on it.

Drat  another poorly typed reply on my part.  
Towards Peters post,  he stated it was not genetic.   Understanding the theory of the pheromones,  what I didn't think we know  is that principle?  Is that a genetic trait?  Or just a habit?  How are mites dispositioned to smell drones over workers.   If in fact that’s a genetic trait,  then drone removal would down the line favor resistance wouldn't it??
