The latest USDA HONEY MARKET NEWS is in and posted at
http://beenet.com/index1.htm as Honey Market News & Bee and Plant
Conditions.

Imports continue at almost 2x last years volume. Now INDIA has joined Viet
Nam as a exporter to the US. Some say the Indian honey glows in the dark
but its just a rumor, but for a fact the Viet Nam honey will kill grass if
sprayed on it, could be that Agent Orange stuff in it so some say.

Interesting to note that only one mention of bee deaths from any cause
which may cause some egg heads to rush out and start spraying honey bees
or bee forage crops to prove their point that beekeeping is a dead or was
it just a death sport.

Most states in May report bee health conditions as excellent and swarming
as normal to below normal.

Bee sure and get MOONed when you are on BEENET.COM you will find it off
the BEE CAM Page.(The HONEY MOON was ripped off one of the USDA pages
backgroud.<G>)

In California the WET weather of 1998 rainy season will soon be a memory
as our wether years ends this month and we start a new one, July 1, this
time its being touted as la nino and as a below normal dry and cold
season. Don't know if this will be the way it is but for sure this season
was wet and cold, but its back to normal for awhile and the bees are
reported doing real well in the souther central SAGE and also in the
Buckwheat areas LA south. One large producer sold his ORANGE Honey for
$00.71 and was not unhappy. I am sure he will be asking more for his SAGE
as poor prospects are reported continuing in the Dakota's with some even
taking 1/3 less bees from California there.
