I just posted why the industry is thriving (very high pollination and honey
prices).  That does not justify Townsend from making light of neonic
concerns of some beekeepers.  Especially concerning dust issues.
Beekeepers in his area do not contend with corn seed dust.  Canola is not
planted with air seeders.  The PMRA report into the Ontario losses is
rather unequivocal that in a dry year they were caused by neonic dust.
Bayer paid out settlements to beekeepers in Germany for dust kills.  Italy
has had dust kills.   These were real beekeeper problems, not activist
inventions.
