Hi, Have you done a lactnet search on this yet?  It was discussed, I think a
few yearsago.  It had much to do with pregnancy hair gain.  In other words,
the shiny thick hair one gets in pregnancy has to do with suspension of the
normal cyclical hair loss during the pregnancy.  Then the hair that would
have been lost is all lost suddenly during the post partum time.  This is
just coincidental to breastfeeding, not caused by it.
