Hello, Rhoda.
       Just a personal perspective here.  I did not have a placental
separation, or any other significant problems.  Two normal vaginal deliveries.
Paracervical block with the first, nothing with the second.  With *both* babies, my
milk came in in 24 hours.  There is variation among women.  Perhaps this
mother just naturally would get her milk "early", no matter what her birth
experience.
