I've just been called by a mom who had a liver transplant and is on
immuno-suppressants - she said she looked up all of the meds (also has
antibiotics and BP meds) and she can breastfeed with them, but her twins
have not been able to latch on - and she has very low milk production at 8
days postpartum, despite pumping q 3 hours around the clock.

I'm supposed to see her this weekend.but for now suggested she cuddle up
with her babies skin to skin, practice hand expression when possible and do
cluster pumping and allow herself periods of rest in-between.

Any suggestions/help other than the usual? Warnings? Lessons learned?

Thanks!
