So how much would they have to pay for that formula?
Was it the hospital's research or a quote from the manufacturer?
I wonder how many hospitals that do buy their formula, actually split one
RTF bottle between two newborns to be fed at the same time by pouring 1oz
in each of 2 disposable sterile bottles? Is that a reasonable practice?

Someone (Jan B?) suggested a cost of 0.25 to 0.50 per ounce when trying to
figure the hospital's additional expenses when buying formula based on
retail shelf prices.

Any validity to the allegation that these manufacturers charge the
hospitals (that get 'free' regular formula) a notably higher price for the
super-specialty formulas? So far, inquiries to my Contracts Dept and my
Warehouse, are consistently being ignored.
