Hi, all: Just my $.02 worth on this subject. Everybody is talking about
the merits and drawbacks of giving a breast pump to bf mothers. I think
all bf mothers should be taught about the free pump that the vast
majority have attached to them at the end of their arms, and how to use
it. I know that some mothers don't like to handle their breasts, so hand
expression is not for everyone, but for the usual early problems of
engorgement, etc, hand expression is ideal. This may be another way to
empower women and avoid making bf seem like a technological feat.
Hand pumps and electric pumps then could be individually recommended
based on each mother's situation. Alicia. [log in to unmask]
