Update on mom with difficult case of very sore nipples. (had history of
soreness with all her children) Baby is now exclusively breastfeeding,
no pumping, gaining weight. No thrush was ever found, palate was normal,
no tongue/frenulum problem. Mom started positioning some feeds without
pain and now is doing all feeds ok except stinging sensation sometimes.
I feel she did improve her latch technique. Mom feels much better about
breastfeeding and is enjoying this baby. Thanks to all suggestions from
you. Though I am still not sure what exact problem was beyond poor latch
technique, I am glad things are better.
