Dear LACTnetters,

Have you seen article in Times on pain relief in labor?   There is a
reference to BF with epidural use, and a nurse's comments of praise to the
author whose second baby born without labor anesthesia.  It is generally a
bash on natural childbirth.

Also, book review of "What A Blessing She Had Chloroform", by an OB and
anesthetist.  It seems to be open season for questioning why women labor
today without pain relief with little or no regard to effects on infant  (or
Mom, actually.).

Thought this would be of interest...would like to know what others
think...plan to write letters to both from my opinion.
