The important thing for the mom to do is to keep a diary when she has the
holter on.  All holter tests do this.  Then if she is exercising, sleeping,
nursing, walking, whatever, the people that look at the test can correlate
what they see with what activity is noted.  A child jiggling the wires may
cause "noise" on the test but just gently stop the hand.  Those few seconds
are not going to affect the thousands of heartbeats that the test monitors.
 If the wire pulls off just reattach it.  The right nursing gown/blouse might
help protect the wires from the playful hands.
