The babies blood bilirubin level should be checked asap. You didnt
mention that it hadnt already been checked, so Im assuming it hasnt.
Usually if a baby is yellow to the hips the bili level is about 18-20,
so I wouldnt delay in getting her to the ped asap.  somewhere I have a
chart that gives you the amount of bilirubin in relation to how far down
the baby is yellow.  Its only a guide , but its fairly accurate. Ill try
to locate it and post it. Hope this helps.
