While we're all venting, here's my latest:

Near term baby, shoulder dystocia (don't get me started) so they, get
this! shove baby back in and do a csec as a first option. Mom is
pumped full of fluid, etc, and her milk does not come in until day 10,
though baby latched right on after birth and appeared to feed well in
the first couple days. Baby was somewhat jaundiced in hospital (14 at
day three), and since there was "no milk" baby was fed formula by
bottle. Very confused, chomping on nipples (bottle and mom), and mom
told to pump q4hrs with a PNS, though baby was not latching properly
*at all* by this time. Mom was only pumping 5oz all day by the end of
2 weeks.

So we are working on getting the supply back and doing lots of s2s. I
am optimistic since baby could apparently transfer colostrum well right
after birth.

Another episode of birth complications messing with breastfeeding.
