ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

In October of 1990, Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science (a.k.a. Buhl Science Center) started providing tours of the decommissioned USS Requin, World War II and Cold War submarine, docked in the Ohio River on Pittsburgh's North Side.

The USS Requin does have a radio shack which includes an amateur radio station, staffed by area ham operators.

The USS Requin is now operated by The Carnegie Science Center.
