POSITION AVAILABLE: PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR, ARCHAEOLOGY
Gray & Pape, Inc., has positions open for a Principal Investigator specializing in either prehistoric or historic archaeology in their Cincinnati, Ohio, office. An M.A. in Anthropology, History or related field (Ph.D. preferred) and experience in CRM project management is required. Experience in the Midwest is preferred. This person must be able to demonstrate ability to implement effective research designs within constraints of project schedules and budgets. This person must have sufficient knowledge of architectural and cultural landscape resources to be able to evaluate them at the Phase I level of investigation. This position also requires competent knowledge of the Section 106 review process. The ability to write clear, concise, and thorough CRM technical reports is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This person will also be asked to assist in the preparation of proposals and in marketing. Communication skills and an ability to effectively supervise people are a must. Basic computer skills (i.e., word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs) are essential. Other skills that will be given serious consideration include preservation planning, material culture analysis, GIS, statistical/spatial analysis, and floral or faunal analysis.
