The Department of Archaeology at Boston University announces a tenure-track
position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in remote sensing
and archaeology, effective September 1, 1999.  The ideal candidate will
hold a Ph.D. concentration in archaeology and have both research and
instructional background in remote sensing and familiarity with Geographic
Information Systems.  The geographic area of interest is open.  The
successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching, have an
active research program, and be capable of teaching both at the
undergraduate and graduate level.  Send nominations or applications,
