Jim,
  Can someone who has not done CRM work (for at least the last ten years), but
who has been active in "dirt" archaeology apply for the SOPA certificate? You
make it sound as if SOPA is only for CRM people (which is probably why
academics don't join). Also, how much are the dues this year?
