Just a reminder to everyone planning to attend the Society for Historical
Archaeology Conference in Salt Lake City that there are still spaces on the
workshops scheduled for before and after the meeting.

SHA-organized workshops on Wednesday, January 6, 1999, include:

Half-day workshops by Priscilla Wegars on Chinese and Japanese Artifacts
($50), Jack Scott on Archaeological Illustration ($40), Karlis Karklins on
Beads ($50), and NEH and the SHA: How to Forge a Winning Relationship ($20).

There is a full-day workshop on Historic Landscapes presented by experts in
the field, including Barbara Wyatt (president, the Alliance for HIstoric
Landscape Preservation), Richard Cloues (Georgia State Historic Preservation
Office), Linda McClelland (NRHP), Todd Thibodeau (Wyoming State Historic
Preservation Office), Dave Ruppert (NPS), and Sherda WIlliams (NPS). Don't
miss this opportunity to learn about one of the most important current topics
in historic preservation! The cost is $175, which includes publications and
handouts.

after that date you can call to see if there are still places available on a
particular workshop!
